Sanaa, also spelled Sanaʽa or Sana, is the largest city in Yemen and the centre of Sanaa Governorate. The city is not part of the Governorate, but forms the separate administrative district of "Amanat Al-Asemah".

After he survived the drone attack authorized by the G8 leaders on his hideout in Pakistan. Aamir Barkawi established a new hideout in Sana'a while the London Siege commenced. His hideout was soon discovered and another drone strike was authorized, killing Barkawi and the militants protecting him.
