The North Lawn is the front lawn of the White House. It is bordered on the north by Pennsylvania Avenue with a wide view of the mansion, and is screened by dense plantings on the east from East Executive Drive and the Treasury Building, and on the west from West Executive Drive and the Old Executive Office Building.

A large gunfight on the North Lawn of the White House between Secret Service agents and K.U.F. terrorists, although all the Secret Service agents and security personnel on the North Lawn were killed. Hours after the White House was taken by the K.U.F., K.U.F. leader Kang Yeonsak demanded a helicopter on the North Lawn, but used it to stage the deaths of him and President Benjamin Asher by sacrificing several of his men and the remaining hostages. After the White House Siege, the North Lawn was cleared before 2016.
