Jones in the diner with several agents in the Presidential Detail, including Roma and O'Neil. As the agents met up with Secret Service director Lynne Jacobs and former presidential agent Mike Banning. Roma introduces Banning to Jones. Afterwards, Jacobs tells the agents to get back in the White House to prepare for the delegation meeting between The President and the South Korean government to talk about rising tension between North and South Korea. Jones left the diner with the other agents to go back to the White House.
Later in the White House, Jones was present during the meeting between The President and South Korean Prime Minister Lee Tae-Woo. When the C-130 Hercules was about to attack Washington, D.C. after shooting down two F-22 Raptor fighters, Jones went with the President, several high-ranking U.S. officials and several agents to the elevator that leads to the Presidential Emergency Operations Center (PEOC), as well as Prime Minister Lee and his security detail.
After the elevator went down to the underground bunker, which was 120 feet underground, Jones rushed to the security pad and opens the blast doors to the PEOC bunker. As everyone was in the bunker, the blast doors closes. Everyone listened in about the air attack in Washington.
When Jones learns the C-130 has been shot down by a F-22, he informs The President. He stood guard, alongside Dave Forbes, a former Secret Service presidential agent turned security agent for the South Korean delegation. As he hears that White House is under ground attack, Jones was then stabbed in the head by Forbes, killing him as Forbes, along with the South Korean agents, revealed to be terrorists led by Kang Yeonsak, seized control of the bunker. Forbes steals Jones' gun and uses it throughout the film.
Jones was avenged after Mike killed Kang and the remaining terrorists in the bunker. Later, after Mike saved President Asher and prevented a nuclear meltdown across America, Jones was posthumously honored by President Asher in his speech in the aftermath of the attack.
